Erik Bert was the pseudonym of Herbert Joseph Putz, -1981, (Columbia B.A., 1926, M.A., 1927), Marxist scholar and editor of "The Producers News" and the "Farmers National Weekly" for 40 years. He served on the editorial board of "The Daily Worker" and "The Daily World."
